Palestine Investment Bank starts implementing financial and banking work in Manama, the capital of Bahrain

Ramallah - in a qualitative ambitious step for the Palestinian banks that aim to expand outside of Palestine, Palestine Investment Bank officially announced starting its financial and banking work in its first foreign branch in Manama, the Capital of Bahrain, starting from Sunday 16/10/2016.

This initiative is considered an important development for Palestinian banking activities. This move is the first of its kind; to practice banking and financial activities outside Palestine in the Arab Gulf and specifically Manama, the Capital of Finance in our Arab region. The aim is to participate effectively in the development of the Palestinian national economy by making the bank a link between Palestinian diaspora and Palestinian locals.

Abed Dayeh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his pride towards this qualitative move for the bank's activities as a result of dedicated efforts and extensive international banking and financial experience that the bank's board of directors enjoy. These efforts aim to develop the bank's activities to reach the regional and international banking level, and to make the bank act as a gateway for Palestinian banking into the world.

Dayeh mentioned that currently, the needed and suitable procedures are underway for the official opening of the branch.
