Ramallah – to enhance the friendship that connects the two nations for many years, His Excellency, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palestine Investment Bank, held a reception ceremony and hosted a dinner in honor of the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Syllouris, and the Cypriot delegation accompanied him on Sunday 21/05/2017 at the head office of the Bank on Ersal Street- Ramallah & Albireh Governorate. The ceremony was attended by the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus and the Ambassador of Cyprus to the State of Palestine. In addition to the accompanying Cypriot delegation and a number of ambassadors of the countries accredited to the State of Palestine, attendees included H.E. the Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority Mr. Azzam Al-Shawa, the Legal Advisor to the President Mr. Hassan Al-Aouri, and other Palestinian political, economic, and social public figures.

Abed Dayeh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors began his speech by welcoming the President of the Cypriot parliament and the accompanying delegation. He also welcomed all of the attendees and thanked them for accepting the invitation. Dayeh praised the strong relations that connect the two states in addition to the friendly relations between the nations.

The President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus mentioned in his speech during the ceremony the relations between the two states and praised the achievements of the Palestinian people in different aspects of their lives. He thanked the Bank’s administration represented by H.E., the Chairman of the Board of Directors, for the warm welcoming. He also assured the continuity of the enhanced strong relations between the Cypriot and the Palestinian peoples and the support of the banking trade relations between the two states.
